Howyin Logistics ("Howyin", "we", "us") operates the Howyin Logistics mobile application for our staff — Regional Managers, Agents, and Delivery Men/Riders. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Contact: support@howyinlogistics.com, Accra, Ghana.

Information we collect

• Account & profile: name, email, mobile number, address, role, and your unique staff ID.
• Registration documents: National ID, trade license, driving license, and a profile photo (by role), used for verification and admin approval.
• Location: for Delivery Men/Riders, device location (including in the background during active deliveries) to show deliveries on the map and update parcel tracking. Collected only for the rider role and while using delivery features.
• Operational data: parcels, delivery status, cash-on-delivery amounts, commissions, wallet/payment records, and support tickets.
• Device & technical: push token, app version, and diagnostic/crash data.
• Usage analytics via Google Firebase Analytics.

How we use it

To authenticate you, verify and approve registrations, assign and track parcels, calculate commissions and payments, send operational notifications, provide support, and keep the service secure.

Camera & photo access

We request camera/photo access only so you can attach required documents and a profile photo, which are uploaded for verification.

How we share

Within Howyin (authorized staff and administrators); with service providers (Google Firebase — Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics — and Google Maps) that process data on our behalf; and where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention & security

We retain information while your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and operational purposes, and use reasonable safeguards (HTTPS, access controls).

Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent for optional processing. Email support@howyinlogistics.com, or use the in-app profile/password tools. To delete your account, see our Delete Account page.

Children

The app is for authorized Howyin staff and is not directed to children under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the new effective date here.
